That Old LED Magic

Recently my time has been taken up doing some design work for a talented friend of mine, Chris Knight, who writes software under the banner of Acutus Trading.

The first major project on which we’ve collaborated is a small alarm clock application for Mac OS X that imitates the one on your old bedside table. It’s a sharp little program, and it costs next to nothing — a reflection of the strategy Chris has developed. (“Make good stuff and don’t charge a lot.”)

For the curious, I designed the website and wrote the copy. There should also be many more good things coming from Acutus (and I might just have a hand in them) in the months to come.

In Earshot

I only really read it for Canucks coverage, but even still it’s nice that The Vancouver Sun finally redesigned its hideously awful website to look like it was designed this century.
