Cherry Picking II

“I don’t really want to comment but maybe it should be seven minutes instead of seven seconds.” —Markus Naslund, of the Vancouver Canucks, on CBC’s decision to introduce a tape delay to Don Cherry’s TV segment.

At least hockey players, if not the hockey media, have a sense of humour.

Okay, but seriously folks, I’ve never heard such an uproar over so little. Don must be having a hearty chuckle that after all these years of repetitive drivel and clownish antics, he can still get the entire nation to cluck with such stern disapproval.

Comments

I think they should have fired him long ago. He has nothing valuable to contribute to hockey nor television, evidenced by the fact that he not only sucked as a coach, but still sucks as an announcer/commentator/whatever the heck he is.

In Earshot

I only really read it for Canucks coverage, but even still it’s nice that The Vancouver Sun finally redesigned its hideously awful website to look like it was designed this century.
